BIO

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA, where I was blessed to attend Catholic school from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Following high school, I studied Special Education at the University of Georgia. Upon graduating, I moved to Nashville to begin my teaching career in public schools. It was during this time that I began to sense a call to steward my gifts toward Catholic education. Soon after, I joined the St. Edwards team in 2019! It has been a gift to actively live out and share my faith with students. 

 

Being the learning specialist is a great joy, as it provides me with the opportunity to get to know the students in a more intentional setting and allows me to embolden their efforts toward learning and growing. In June of 2023, I earned my certification in Academic Language Therapy, which means I have further specialized in teaching struggling students to read.
