I was born and raised here in Nashville. I attended Catholic schools growing up and graduated from Father Ryan High School. I then studied to become a teacher at Spring Hill College, a Jesuit school in Mobile, AL. I feel passionate about teaching; it has always felt like something I was meant to do.

This is my ninth year teaching. I worked in Metro Nashville Public School for several years in 2nd and 4th grade. I spent the other part of my career living in Colorado; I taught a combined 6th/7th grade class at a small Catholic school in Montrose. I also taught 3rd grade in a tiny mountain town of Ouray before moving back home to be with family. As much as my wife and I loved our life in the mountains, Nashville is home and where our family is.

My wife, Laura, and I met in high school. She works as a speech-language pathologist and we have a son named Wren, who will turn three this year. We love camping, hiking, traveling, and spending the day outside. We both come from families that have taught us the value of Catholic education and are excited to give back to a community that has given us so much.

I am so grateful to be a part of this St. Edward community. It is a blessing and a gift to serve these students. It has become clear to see that God is doing amazing things here!
