Anissa Ballesteros

Third Grade Teacher

ballesteros.jpeg

My name is Mrs. Ballesteros and I am honored to introduce myself as St. Edward’s third-grade teacher.

I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I do speak Spanish. I have a huge Mexican family and I grew up being very close with them. I was raised Catholic, but unfortunately did not have the privilege to attend Catholic school. I graduated from San Diego State University with my bachelor’s in child and family development. I have been working with a wide variety of children for over ten years and I absolutely love my profession.

I met my husband in Okinawa, Japan in 2013, and together we have two children, Jimmy (4) and Gia (2). At the beginning of 2022, my husband and I decided to relocate, and in March we settled in Nashville. It has been a big adjustment for my family, but God has had his hand on us every step of the way.

I feel so blessed to be at St. Edward and I hope to impact each student in the most positive way. Thank you and God Bless!
