Though I was born and raised in the Nashville area, my desire to teach and study Shakespeare took me to Mississippi State University. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Mississippi State University. where I fell in love with the medieval world and entered into full communion with the Catholic Church.

Instead of pursuing a professorial position through doctoral studies after graduation, I felt a call to discern the priesthood, returning me to Nashville and its Catholic community. The love of teaching never left my soul, and my time as a catechist and as a Totus Tuus missionary only reinforced my desire to dedicate my life to education.

In my spare time I consume too many podcasts and read genre fiction in my free time. Nevertheless, I strive to hike, run, bike, and dance as much as possible.

I am so pleased to be able to teach here at St. Edward School and to share the beauty of the English language and patrimony that provides us with so many luminous examples of truth and goodness.
