I have had a unique career path that has led me directly to St. Edward Church and School.

I have an undergraduate degree in communications and fine arts with an emphasis in journalism from the University of Memphis. Upon graduation, I started a career as a public relations specialist at an advertising agency in Memphis and married my high school sweetheart, Kevin. After three years, I moved to a regional law firm, Baker, Donelson, Bearman, and Caldwell, in the marketing department as the communications coordinator.

Even though I enjoyed my career, it felt empty. I struggled with the nagging feeling that I was supposed to be doing something different with my life. Having a brother with special needs, I felt called to return to school to obtain my Master's Degree in special education. I started teaching at Concord Academy, a private special education middle and high school, and obtained my Master's Degree. While at Concord, our first son, Carter was born.

After several years, I felt called to teach within my faith and started teaching English at St. Benedict at Auburndale (SBA) in the PLUS program, which serves students with diagnosed learning differences.
While at SBA, we had Gavin and Lucia.

After ten years at SBA as the yearbook advisor, freshman and senior PLUS English teacher, and 11th-grade sponsor, my husband was given a work opportunity in Nashville that he could not pass up. In 2018, we relocated to Nolensville.

After looking for Catholic schools for our children, we landed at St. Edward, where volunteering led to accepting a position as the marketing manager and digital media teacher. Our oldest son Carter is now a senior in public school. Gavin is in 8th grade, and Lucia is in 4th at St. Edward.

I love traveling, spending time with our dogs, Max and Moses, reading, lifting weights, walking, and gardening in my free time.
