1st Grade Teacher

I was born in Ohio and lived in Texas before moving to Nashville 30 years ago. I have a degree in Fashion Merchandising from The Art Institute of Houston. After working 20 years in retail management and accounts receivable, I returned to school and earned a teaching degree. I graduated from Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Teacher Education. After substitute teaching at St. Edward for 2 years, I am grateful to be a full-time teacher. With 14 years of teaching, I have taught PreK, Kindergarten, 4th grade, and now 1st grade.

My husband, Paul, is a St. Edward alumni. We have two kids who have graduated from St. Edward. Ryan is a freshman at Belmont University and Zoe is a senior at St. Cecilia Academy.

I love reading, hiking, traveling, watching football, drinking pumpkin spice lattes, and learning about new teaching concepts to bring into my classroom.
